The University of Alabama at Birmingham, a member of the University of Alabama System, offers a variety of bachelor, master, and doctoral degree programs through 12 academic divisions.

Students learn the standards of domestic accounting through the GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) protocols.

Students can complete the 120-credit program in about four years. Students can complete weekly assignments at their convenience. The university does not require on-campus visits.

Non-traditional freshman applicants (defined as those who hold a high school diploma from more than four years ago, with fewer than 24 college semester credits), as well as transfer students, must successfully complete the COMPASS exam, offered at most two-year colleges.

UAB Online’s Bachelor’s degree in Accounting includes 77 credits in accounting and business courses such as:

Auburn niversityThe University of Alabama at Birmingham holds accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International. The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges also provides accreditation to the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

2. Auburn University, Raymond J. Harbert College of Business

Auburn University, a public university chartered in 1865, is a sea-grant, land-grant, and space grant university. Auburn University enrolls more than 25, 000 students in a variety of degree programs across its schools and colleges.

Auburn University’s degree offerings include an online Bachelor of Science in Accountancy degree. Auburn University’s BS in Accountancy prepares business professionals to change careers and focus on accounting.

The university records its on-campus accounting classes so online students can view the lectures when it’s convenient for them. Distance learning students follow the same pacing and academic calendar as traditional on-campus students.

Auburn University’s BS in Accountancy is open only to second degree–seeking candidates who must hold an AACSB-accredited bachelor’s degree in business or an AACSB-accredited master’s in business administration degree and have either an APO or USA address.

3. Washington State University Global Campus

Washington State University, a public, land-grant, research university founded in 1890, enrolls more than 27, 600 students. Washington State University offers bachelor, master, and doctoral degrees in 200 fields of study through 10 colleges.

Washington State University Global Campus offers an online Bachelor degree in Accounting, which features core courses in business strategy, auditing, taxation, and financial management. The program prepares graduates for careers in corporate accounting and public accounting, as well as with government agencies and in private business.
